With the recent passing of Her Majesty the Queen, our resident Marjorie has been reflecting on when she and her son David met Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace in 2013. David was invited to meet the Queen after he won her \u2018Award for Enterprise\u2019, which he received for his work with international trade. The rules stated that winners were allowed to invite one guest who had been responsible for helping them win the award. Often this would be a sales or export manager, however David argued that \u2018without mum, there would be no company and no award\u2019. The committee agreed and so they attended the event together. David commented that \u2018The Queen was everything anyone had ever said about her \u2013 warm, friendly, and keen to know if we were enjoying ourselves.
