Porthaven’s newly-opened care home, Upton Mill in Tetbury has recently received its first impressive plaudit after winning the ‘Best Interior Design’ award at the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
After entering the awards for the first time in 2020 and scooping the ‘Best Specialist Dementia Design’ award for Falkland Grange Care Home in Newbury, we are thrilled to have won yet another award for Upton Mill this year.
Commercial Director and Co-Founder, Sean Kime, oversees the whole design and build process for Porthaven and takes a great deal of pride in helping to create care homes that are not only practical and functional, but also warm, welcoming, and stylish environments for our residents and their family and friends. He said, ‘I am delighted that we have won this award. Our design philosophy of ‘evolution rather than revolution’, means that each new home improves on the last in terms of the features and design elements that we include. An enormous amount of work, research, thought and care goes into the design process of every Porthaven care home, and so having this recognised by Pinders truly acknowledges the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.’
