Close to the centre of popular Newbury and a short drive from the M4 motorway, Falkland Grange Care Home is within easy reach of the many amenities the town has to offer, including the lively Newbury Racecourse.

As with all Porthaven care homes, we provide 24 hour support for residential, nursing and dementia care in a choice of stylish and spacious accommodation tailored to your individual needs.

Care is what Porthaven does best and every member of staff is hand-selected for their empathy, professionalism and thorough dedication to the care, comfort and dignity of the residents they support. They share the same values as our senior management team, encouraging independence, dignity, privacy and respect.

A Porthaven home is a place to live well and Falkland Grange is no exception. Every resident benefits from their own spacious and private bedroom equipped with an en suite wetroom. There are also adjoining rooms, where couples may choose to live together whilst receiving the care and support they both need. There are plenty of communal areas too which give the home a real sense of community, including a variety of lounges, restaurants, a hair salon and an activities lounge. A private dining room for family celebrations, a café and even a cinema complete the wide range of facilities on offer at our new care home.

Living well at a Porthaven home means you have the choice to live as active a lifestyle as you wish and so boredom is never a consideration. Our award-winning activities and wellbeing philosophy focuses on active ageing and so our dedicated activities and wellbeing team are on hand seven days a week delivering a programme of interesting and varied events and activities to promote resident wellbeing. Hobby clubs, keep fit classes, weekly trips out in our minibus, and special events such as the annual garden challenge ensure that there is always plenty to do at a Porthaven home.

It would be a pleasure to show you around our home and chat about your needs or the needs of your loved one. To arrange a visit, please call our Home Manager Daniela Barros, our Client Services Manager Ann Stewart or, if you prefer, simply send us a message.

Care Home Open Week celebrations!

As part of our Porthavenbury Festival that week, George Stacey joined us for an action-packed afternoon of entertainment. Our residents had a great time; it was lovely to host this outside in the sun! Thank you, George. We hope to see you again soon! Our festivities continued the following day with our main event. Mini Concerts joined us in the morning with a musical tribute to The Land Army Annie’s Festival Favourites, followed by an amazing Boogie Disco performance that had all the residents, family members and care team up dancing. Our pop-up pizza surprise trailer was an additional treat, along with the hospitality’s contributions to an amazing feast. Thank you to everyone who participated and made it such a wonderful day!

Our double win!

This month, our CSM attended the Porthaven Client Services Manager Conference for 2026, and we are proud of everyone at Falkland Grange, as it is a team effort that we received not only 1 but 2 awards!

The 100% Occupancy Award recognises the achievement of reaching full occupancy throughout the year. Additionally, we are proud to have received the Highest Average Occupancy Award, making us one of only two homes in our portfolio to achieve this recognition. A big thank you to all the staff, residents, residents’ families and our community for helping to make this a special place to work and an exceptional home for our residents.
