Meet Alison, Our Home Manager at Cotswold Gate

Alison has been in social care since 1993 and has worked as a home manager since 2005, during which year she achieved the Registered Manager Award. Alison has also held an English Nursing Board qualification in Managing Care for Older People since 2003. Throughout her career, Alison has maintained a strong relationship with the Care Quality Commission and has had consistently positive outcomes from all her previous inspections.

Alison is passionate about providing quality care for senior individuals and feels that everybody should have the opportunity to live a fulfilling life, no matter their care needs.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys dining out, baking and reading. Alison has also travelled extensively, primarily to visit sites of archaeological interest. We have no doubt Alison will do a fantastic job overseeing Cotswold Gate and ensuring our residents are happy, comfortable and well cared for.

Lunch with Oxfordshire Dementia Action Alliance

Recently we were delighted to host lunch for an incredibly important cause, the Oxfordshire Dementia Action Alliance. Attendees at this meeting included representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society, Home Instead and the NHS, with everybody coming together to discuss how we can better support individuals living with dementia in our community.

This meeting was a great opportunity to learn more about the incredible work being done to make our local area more dementia friendly so that those living with dementia can feel understood, valued and included within their community. Here at Cotswold Gate, we are proud to be part of this collective effort and to facilitate introductions and conversations that strengthen these vital connections.
