To raise awareness and much needed funds for the British Heart Foundation, our residents from Falkland Grange Care Home in Newbury, took part in a two mile sponsored walk on Greenham Common. We decorated our café area for the day and held an afternoon tea event, with cakes baked by our wonderful chef.
We have currently raised over £200 for the charity, which supports research in cardiovascular science. BHF funds medical research related to heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors. Carla, our Home Manager welcomed Samantha into our home to be presented with a cheque of the total monies raised.
