In January we invited Gen Sangye from Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre to visit us here at Haddon Hall Care Home for World Religion Day. His visit began with a talk about the Buddhist religion and mindfulness, and then Sangye led our residents in a meditation session that concentrated on bringing inner peace to the mind and body. During the session Sangye informed our residents that Buddha’s practical meditation techniques can help everybody increase their inner peace, happiness and wellbeing. The session was concluded with the Liberating Prayer, which our residents agreed was incredibly peaceful. A great time was had by all, and we would like to say a huge thank you to Gen Sangye for sharing his faith with us.
