Family Support Group Launch

Here at Hartfield House and across all our Porthaven Care Homes, we understand the importance of caring not only for our residents, but their family members too.
Led by our Home Trainer, Dominque Byfleet, we are providing our family members with the same level of training given to our staff members when it comes to caring with someone living with dementia.
Dominique said: “We decided to start this group after we realised so many families were struggling with negotiating the turbulent waters of dementia care. The comradery and friendships that have blossomed from this group have been truly magical to see. Our hope is to continue to grow this group, and hopefully open it up to other families that are within our local area.”
