Every year the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) invites care homes across the country to get involved in Arts in Care Homes Day. This year’s theme was ‘international’, however NAPA also encouraged people to make a field of flowers. Our residents at Lincroft Meadow chose to combine the two themes and make a map of the world out of flowers. We also decided to create a sunflower to put on Ukraine as a show of support, given that this is their national flower. Once it was complete, we hosted a celebration of our artwork in the bistro with drinks and delicious cakes prepared by our chefs. It was lovely to be able to celebrate the creative talents of our residents, and we look forward to participating again next year.
