Here at Thirlestaine Park Care Home we believe in person-centred care with physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing at its core, so throughout the year we will often celebrate different faiths by participating in their religious holidays. For World Religion Day in January, we welcomed our parish priest, Reverend Ernie, into our home for a service about promoting harmony and understanding between different religious groups. Afterwards our residents sung some of their favourite hymns, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Reverend Ernie is a regular visitor to our home, as every month he leads a holy communion service for those wishing to participate. We also have links with other churches in our area, and earlier in that same week we were visited by our local Baptist Church who gifted our residents with beautiful floral arrangements.
