Recently we took our Thirlestaine Park minibus to Cheltenham Racecourse for a ‘Tea with a Pony’ experience, which was organised by the Cotswold Riding for the Disabled Association. Our residents started the experience with a delicious afternoon tea and cakes whilst watching a horse riding lesson. They then had the chance to meet and interact with the horses, which was a wonderful experience. Many of our residents commented on how therapeutic the session was. One of our residents, Va, used to be a keen horse rider and loved the opportunity to be around horses again. It is safe to say that our residents are looking forward to having tea with a pony again soon.
