In January some of our Wiltshire Heights Care Home residents took a trip with our minibus team to Oakham Treasures in Bristol, which is a museum of retail and farming history that showcases items such as vintage tractors, grocery displays and a sweet shop. This amazing collection of vintage items prompted many conversations about the past, and our residents had a lovely time recalling fond memories of their childhood as they explored the museum. One of our residents, John, especially loved seeing Oakham’s collection of old motorbikes, as he was once the proud owner of a motorbike and had a real passion for riding them. A great day was had by all, and it was lovely to hear the memories from our residents’ pasts that these items brought about.
