Recently we had the honour of welcoming pupils from Ledbury Primary School to Deer Park for the release of butterflies that they had been raising. Many of the children read our residents the work they had done on the butterfly life cycle, as well as allowing us to hold the butterflies before they were released. They even treated us to a sneak peek of the Harvest Festival songs they were going to perform in church later that week. Our talented chefs baked some cookies for the children to say thank you, which were thoroughly enjoyed. One of our residents, Phyllis, commented: βThe whole day was magical. Hearing the little ones sing and getting to hold the butterflies was lovely.β
